Lamisil is an antifungal medication that prevents fungus from growing on the skin. It is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, tinea, jock itch, and ringworm infections.

Directions

Use it with full glass of water. Lamisil is usually taken for 6 to 12 weeks. Swallow this mixture right away without chewing. The suggested dosage for onychomycosis is 250 mg daily for 6 to 12 weeks for adults and teenagers. For tinea corporis is 250 mg daily for 2 to 4 weeks. For tinea cruris is 250 mg daily for 2 to 4 weeks. For tinea pedis is 250 mg daily for 2 to 6 weeks. Take Lamisil exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Precautions

Lamisil can impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol, which can increase some of the side effects. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Do not use Lamisil without telling your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby. Avoid exposure to sunlight as the drug can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. You should not take Lamisil if you had liver illness or lupus.
